- Harristone. Leaning towards Cape Cod or Summit stone in Uintah stacked.
- Garage Door people at Windsor Doors in Ogden. Steel (front and back) & insulated.
- Darwin at Wheelright Lumber to finalize exterior doors. I really liked a door that was about 2.5 times our budget. Thankfully, Jen helped us keep some perspective there. We settled on a simpler Therma Tru model that looks good AND stays within budget.
- Bonnie at Envision Design. Jen was disappointed that the carpet she'd been thinking of wasn't really available here. But they did have some very nice selections of carpet, tile, and laminate. They also had a concrete counter-top modeled that was beautiful and supposedly requires no maintenance.
- Guy at Guy's Glass. We need our South facing windows to have a "hard coat" low E glass. This yields higher Solar Heat Gain Coefficients (SHGC) while still providing good U (insulation) values. The glass we're looking at is AGC's Clear Comfort E2. Guy has found the windows, but there are labeling issues we're working through.
Energy Star's recommendations don't exactly make this clear, even with their latest standards.
